Abdul Ghayoum Bijad

Abdul Ghayoum Bijad is a Research Associate at the Baloch Advocacy and Studies Center (BASC), where he contributes to data collection and the production of research reports. He is a dedicated human rights advocate and researcher with a background in chemistry, holding a Bachelor of Science degree in the field. A proud member of the Baloch community, he has committed his life to defending the rights of the Baloch people in Iran and Pakistan through evidence-based research and international advocacy.

Research Associate

Abdul Ghayoum has taken a leading role in raising awareness about the ongoing human rights violations faced by Baloch people. His efforts include organising peaceful demonstrations in Austria, Germany, and the UK and attending various discussions on Balochistan as a key speaker. He has worked closely with European human rights organisations and contributed to detailed reports documenting systemic repression facing the Baloch people.

Combining his scientific training with a deep passion for justice, Abdul Ghayoum’s approach is strategic, research-driven, and collaborative. He believes that empowering oppressed voices and connecting local struggles to international platforms is essential for achieving meaningful and lasting change.

Beyond activism, he actively participates in seminars, policy discussions, and research initiatives focusing on human rights for all.
