Hassan Kosa

Hassan Kosa is the Vice-President of the Baloch Advocacy and Studies Center (BASC), where he supports the President in advancing the organisation’s mission and objectives. A respected human rights advocate, legal researcher, and literary figure, Hassan is widely recognised for his unwavering efforts to protect the rights and identity of the Baloch people. He holds a law degree from S.M. Law College in Karachi and a postgraduate degree in Human Rights and Social Justice in International Legal Norms from London Metropolitan University.

His journey in the Baloch struggle for the right to self-determination began during his student years as a member of the Baloch Students Organisation (BSO). Since then, he has remained deeply engaged in the struggle, both within Balochistan and among the Baloch diaspora in the United Kingdom.

Mr. Kosa has played a vital role in international advocacy as the Vice President of the Baloch Human Rights Council (BHRC). He has represented the Baloch cause at the United Nations, the European Parliament, and the UK Houses of Parliament, helping to raise global awareness about the ongoing human rights violations against the Baloch people.

In addition to his activism, Hassan Kosa is a respected poet and writer. He has made contributions to Balochi literature through his poetry and essays. He is the author of The Right to Self-Determination Under International Law and Politics: The Case of the Baloch People, a remarkable publication and the first of its kind to explore the Baloch struggle for self-determination through both legal and political lenses.
